On June 4, the Federation of Estonian Engineering Industry representatives – Chairman of the Council Tõnu Lelumees and CEO Triin Ploompuu – presented the FEEI medal to BLRT Grupp Chairman of the Management Board Fjodor Berman. This award he received as a person who has excelled in promoting the machinery and metal industry in the Baltic region.
When handing the recognition over to Mr Fjodor Berman Tõnu Lelumees mentioned that FEEI honor medal is awarded to one person worthy of highlighting every year. However, this year, the Federation of Estonian Engineering Industry, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary, awarded five medals.
According to Triin Ploompuu, Mr Fjodor Berman has built one of the most brilliant business models in Estonia. “The holding operates in 8 countries, employs nearly 4,000 people and over a thousand subcontractors. There are not many such companies in Estonia that invest around 50 million euros in the development of the company each year. I have been monitoring the activities of the BLRT Grupp for years. The footprint of the industrial holding in Estonian society is very large – participation in the development of the machinery and metal industry, all kinds of non-profit associations, education, support for various cultural events. And, of course, the honor medal of the FEEI is our expression of gratitude to the wise leader of the BLRT Grupp, who has managed all this.”
